Abstract

• Foreign Tourists (Tourists) who came to East Java through the Juanda entrance in December 2020 increased by 23.19 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting in November 2020, from 69 visits to 85 visits.

• The number of foreign tourists visiting in December 2020 decreased by 99.59 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists in the same period in 2019 which reached 20,546 visits.

• During the January - December 2020 period, the most foreign tourists were Malaysian nationals who reached 10,579 visits (with a contribution of 30.25 percent), followed by Singaporean nationals with 3,966 visits (with a contribution of 11.34 percent), and Chinese nationals with 2,302 visits (with a contribution of 6.58 percent).

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in East Java in December 2020 reached 47.77 percent, an increase of 2.30 points compared to the previous month. The ROR for 5 (five) star hotels of 56.82 percent is the highest ROR compared to other star hotels.

• The average length of stay of foreign guests (RLMT) at star-rated hotels in December 2020 reached 3.13 or decreased 0.30 points compared to November 2020 which reached 3.43 days. The overall RLMT in December 2020 was 1.53 days or decreased by 0.02 points when compared to November 2020 which reached 1.55 days.
