Abstract

  • East Java's economy in 2023, measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices, will reach IDR 2,953.54 trillion, and GDP per capita will reach IDR 71.12 million
  • East Java's economy in 2023 will grow by 4.95 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field which grew by 23.70 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Nonprofit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 10.30 percent.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter IV-2023 compared to Quarter IV-2022 grew by 4.69 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Field which grew by 28.70 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Consumption Expenditure Component of Nonprofit Institutions Serving Households (PK-LNPRT) which grew by 16.13 percent.
  • East Java's economy in Quarter IV-2023 to Quarter III-2023 experienced a contraction of 0.89 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth occurred in the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision Business Field which grew by 7.70 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth occurred in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (P-KP) which grew by 9.84 percent.
