March 2024 inflation Year on Year (y-on-y) East Java Province amounting to 3.04 percent

Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in East Java Province will be 3.04 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.61. Highest inflation of 4.68 occurred in Sumenep with a CPI of 109.15 as well as the Regency Bojonegoro with a CPI of 108.44 and the lowest occurred in Jember at 2.53 percent with a CPI of 106.37. Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 7.33 percent; clothing and footwear group of 2.53 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.51 percent; health group by 2.71 percent; group transportation by 0.87 percent; recreation, sports and cultural groups of 0.99 percent; education group by 1.35 percent; provision group food and beverage/restaurants at 2.36 percent; and treatment group personal and other services amounted to 3.44 percent. While the expenditure group which experienced a decrease in index, namely: information, communication, and groupsfinancial services by 0.46 percent. Month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate East Java Province in March 2024 respectively at 0.64 percent and 1.03 percent.
