January 2025 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 1.06 percent

Abstract

In January 2025, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 1.06 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.53. The highest inflation of 1.72 percent occurred in Banyuwangi with a CPI of 107.28 and the lowest inflation occurred in Kediri City of 0.54 percent with a CPI of 105.53
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.92 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.33 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.63 percent; health group by 1.94 percent; transportation group by 0.71 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.42 percent; education group at 1.53 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.26 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 7.09 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household fuel groups by 9.76 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.16 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Jawa Timur Province in January 2025 is 0.54 percent.
