December 2024 Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Jawa Timur Province was 1.51 percent

Abstract

In December 2024, inflation will occur year on year (y-on-y) and year to date (y-to-d) in East Java Province at 1.51 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.11. The highest inflation of 1.97 percent occurred in Sumenep with a CPI of 109.71 and the lowest inflation occurred in Bojonegoro Regency at 1.14 percent with a CPI of 108.34
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.97 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.43 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.55 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.66 percent; health group by 1.83 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.55 percent; education group at 1.54 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.12 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 6.57 percent.
Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: transportation group by 0.52 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.12 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for East Java Province in December 2024 is 0.46 percent.
